Contests

I love having contests. I do monthly contests at a parenting forum I'm on. Every month I let parents submit photos of their babies, and then I put together voting posts. Every month is a different theme. It's alot of fun. I have been picking out prizes for the winners.
Well I am a contributor at ATC now, and I had the most brillant idea..."A Miss American Cupcake Contest"!!! I am so excited! I can't wait to see all of the cupcakes that are entered! :)

Simple things make me happy...

I woke up this morning and thought "aww...today is going to be a busy, crazy day." Well to my delight when I opened the fridge I saw a case of Coca-Cola chillin' inside! Yay! Thanks to my husband, and my mistress Coca-Cola, I feel l can take on the world!

Cupcakes in the mail

I am so lucky to have such great friends.

I received several cupcake themed goodies in my mailbox over the past few weeks.

First I received the large cupcake bib for Addi from my friend Chele in GA.

Then I received the cupcake notepads, necklace kit, magnet, and dish scrubber from my friend Katie in CA.

And then I receive a package from my friend Lianna all the way in Australia! She got Addi a cute cupcake bib, and onesis.

I am so thankful to have such awesome friends! ;)

Photography and Murals

Photography and painting are two of my favorite hobbies. I started my own photography business a few months ago, and I love it. It is so awesome to be able to work for yourself, doing something that you love to do.

I got tattooed!

I am so happy! I got tattooed this weekend! First I got a cute little ladybug on my right ankle for my 5 yr old daughter, and then I got a sweet little cupcake on my left back shoulder area for my 4 month old girl. The tattoo artists did a fantastic job, and gave me exactly what I wanted!

Doing good = feeling good.

I am very blessed. I am blessed in my health, my family, and abundance of friends. I am very lucky in alot of areas of my life. When I do start to feel down, I overcompensate and go even further out of my way to please others. Making someone else happy = making myself happy.
I have had the honor of doing that alot lately. I have been actively involved in raising money and awarenes to several different causes that are close to my heart.
I donate hours and hours of my time organizing and getting others involved in different kinds of efforts to help others who really need help.
I found someone's purse in a shopping cart the other day, I took it to the front desk of the store that it was found outside of. I was so happy that the woman who owned it came into the store and I was able to give it to her personally, instead of leaving it with a minimum wage employee.
I love the quote from the movie Evan Almighty about "How do we change the world? One simple act of random kindness at a time!" It's true! ;)
